Meliá Hotels International Expands in Indonesia with New Sentul Resort & Convention Center

Meliá hospices International has expanded its presence in Indonesia by entering into a new operation agreement with Meliá Sentul Resort & Convention Center, a recently completed five- star hostel in Sentul, West Java. The resort is listed to open in 2028 and will be part of the brand Meliá hospices & Resorts. This is Meliá’s seventh property in Indonesia and its first incursion into the booming area of Sentul. Located about one hour from Jakarta, Sentul has gained a character as an seductive life and rest destination for Jakarta residers. The area has cooler temperatures, beautiful green hills, and a growing quantum of recreational conditioning, making it a great combination of natural beauty with a ultramodern structure. Sentul, which is located within Bogor Regency, has numerous openings for hiking, falls and other family-friendly conditioning like The Sentul International Circuit and JungleLand Adventure Theme Demesne. In addition to its recreational immolations, Sentul is developing into a domestic and business center with good access to roads, close to the Sentul International Convention Center( SICC), and with numerous new civic and conveyance acquainted developments taking place. The new hotel will be equipped with a full range of dining, recreation, and wellness options for guests to take advantage of. Guests will enjoy all-day dining at the all-day restaurant, Specialty dining at different specialty restaurants, a rooftop bar with views of the surrounding landscape, and a lounge area to relax and unwind. The recreation options will consist of an outdoor swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center, and spa. Family-friendly features will also be an essential component of this new hotel, including a dedicated Kids Club designed specifically to enhance young guests' experiences. As a premier venue for meeting and conference business in the area, the property will have a large ballroom of approximately 1,160 sq m (12,500 sq ft), along with 15 flexible meeting rooms that total 1,640 sq m (17,600 sq ft) of total meeting and conference area. This property will host various types of business and social events, providing a good balance of facilities for business and leisure guests. According to Ignacio Martín, Managing Director of Meliá Hotels International for Asia Pacific, this hotel is a major milestone in the company’s growth strategy within Indonesia. He pointed out that Sentul is ideally located close to Jakarta and has sufficient land within the local community, as well as a favorable environment for continued investment. Meliá has strengthened its relationship with the Saraswanti Group by renewing their global partnership. Since 2013, Meliá and Saraswanti have worked together to develop Cooperations through INNSiDE by Meliá Yogyakarta. Noegroho Hari Hardono, Saraswanti Group’s CEO, acknowledges the collaboration as a result of both parties' commitment to develop world-class properties with long-lasting value to be part of both companies growth strategies going forward. Both he and his counterpart have stated that Meliá's worldwide presence and operational skills will enhance their respective companies in the property development market. Through the signing of this agreement, Meliá Hotels International has intensified its commitment to Indonesia, its Mediterranean hospitality and service excellence in one of the most exciting emerging locations in West Java.
