IHG Hotels & Resorts will make its foray into the luxury hospitality market in Southeast Asia by introducing an award-winning Kimpton brand in Indonesia.
Kimpton Bali Ubud will bring an outstanding luxury experience when it opens the door for the guests in this year’s 4th quarter. The hotel brand will be based in the heart of Bali, Indonesia. Ideally, it will be situated on the banks of the picturesque Wos River in the cultural center of Ubud, only a 90 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar.
Kimpton Bali Ubud will feature luxury accommodation across 101 rooms, suites and luxury villas. As always, Kimpton brand will welcome its guests with fidelity to its pet friendly policy. Local Indonesian and international delicacies can be enjoyed at any of the hotel’s five F&B venues. Imamura is a fine-dining Japanese restaurant led by Michelin-recommended chef Imamura and will be a window into Japanese way of life.
At the Sakshi Spa, guests can also enjoy traditional Balinese massage therapies. Guests can also unwind in a two-story fitness center, swimming pool and enjoy Kimpton’s signature ‘Forgot It? ‘We’ve Got It!’ service which means that there is nothing that the hotel cannot provide for its guests.
Kimpton Bali Ubud General Manager Austin Jones will oversee the new property’s operation. He's been with the company for more than a decade, and said the opening was an amazing opportunity to bring Kimpton's unique approach to an exotic destination with intriguing culture and spectacular nature.
The new addition to the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio is yet another step towards strengthening the company’s presence in the Indonesian market, where the company owns and operates over 30 hotels. Kimpton Bali Ubud’s opening is also an important milestone in the Kimpton brand’s global expansion, including the opening of its first hotel in Dubai in 2026.
