People frequently say South of France and Provence mean the thing. That is n't entirely true. Provence is a place. When people talk about the South of France and Provence they are n't exactly talking about the thing. It's notorious for its lavender fields and Mediterranean bank. The major municipalities, in Provence are also veritably enough. People who live in Provence have a way of life. The region of Provence is made up of six departments. These departments are Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes- Alpes, Alpes- Maritimes, Bouches- du- Rhône, Var and Vaucluse. On this trip you'll get to see Vaucluse, Bouches- du- Rhône and Alpes- Maritimes. You'll explore these three departments of Provence. It's also helpful to know that traditional Provence refers further to areas like Avignon, Aix- en- Provence, Valensole and the Luberon townlets. These areas, which are Provence and the Côte d’Azur are different from each other in ways, similar, as culture, history and terrain. The South of France road trip will be further fun after you see Avignon. also you can go to places in the South of France. Days 1 – 2 are, for Avignon and Châteauneuf- du- Pape. The South of France has nice places and Avignon is one of them. Avignon is a base before you go to other corridor of Provence in the South of France. I get to Avignon by train. I can come from Paris. It takes 2.5 hours. I can also come from Marseille. If I'm renting a auto I need to get to Avignon TGV station. This is where utmost auto reimbursement companies are. I should have done this. I made a mistake. Now that I've my auto I'll go to the part of Avignon. Avignon is a place to visit. I'm going to Avignon. I love spending the autumn walking around the city. You can stop for lunch at Café Saint- Jean. They've food. After lunch I like to visit shops. Autrefois is one of my pets. They vend good nougat and calissons. I also like to hang out at Place de l’Horloge. It's a place to relax. latterly you can drive to Pont du Gard. It takes thirty twinkles to get there. Pont du Gard is an old Roman conduit. It was erected a time agone When you're at Pont du Gard you can walk along the swash. It's veritably enough. You can also watch scullers float by on the water. If you like hiking there are some trails hard. After visiting Pont du Gard you can go back, to Avignon for the evening. For regale you should try La Mirande. It's a place to eat. This nice hostel is like walking into a room from a long time agone. It has soft settees, old decorations and a small bar that feels private. You can eat at La Salle à Manger. Have a enough casual mess that's still really good. also you can have a drink by the fire to end your day in Provence. Day 2 Avignon and Châteauneuf- du- Pape. To start the day you should buy a pass that gets you into the palace the Pont de Bénézet, which is also known as the Pont d’Avignon and the auditoriums. You can use the morning to look around these places. When you get hungry go to Les Halles. It is a cool market inside a building in Avignon. You can eat lunch there. Buy some cheese, bread and wine to have later. In the afternoon you should go on a tour of the wine area called Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region is very famous, in France. The tour is going to take you to some wineries and the old summer home of the pope. You will get to see the ruins of this home. After you spend the day tasting wine you will go back to Avignon. Then you can have an evening with food that you bought at the market. Day 3 is The Villages of the Luberon. This day is one of the parts of the trip. You will drive through the Luberon Regional Natural Park. The Luberon Regional Natural Park is home to some of the beautiful villages in France. First you will go to Sénanque Abbey. Sénanque Abbey is a working monastery that's, from the 12th century. It is surrounded by fields of lavender in the summer. The villages of the Luberon are really something to see. You will love driving through the Luberon Regional Natural Park and visiting the villages of the Luberon. Next go to Gordes. Stop at the famous viewpoint. This is a place to see the village from. Then you can walk around the village. Go to the market on Tuesday. After that go to Apt. If you are there on a Saturday you should really go to the farmers market. It is one of the markets in all of Provence. From Apt go to Roussillon. Roussillon is famous, for its ochre cliffs. They are really pretty. You can also walk on the Ochre Trail in Roussillon. The Ochre Trail is very scenic. In the afternoon I will stop at Bonnieux to taste some rosé at Château La Canorgue. Then I will go to Lourmarin, which's also a very pretty village in France. I like Lourmarin because it is one of the " Beautiful Village of France". After that I will end my day in Cucuron it is a town to walk around in the evening. I will then drive to Aix-en-Provence to have dinner and stay overnight. Day 4: Aix-en-Provence and Cassis. I will spend my morning walking around Aix-en-Provence. Aix-en-Provence is a place, with nice streets and fountains and markets that are always busy. You should definitely go to Cézannes Studio or Musée Granet.. You can just walk around and have a good time at the cafés and shops. In the afternoon you can drive to Cassis. Have your lunch near the harbor in Cassis then take a boat tour of Calanques National Park. Calanques National Park is really beautiful with its limestone cliffs going down into the turquoise water. After the boat tour you can relax at Plage du Bestouan. Then you can go back, to Aix for the evening. Days 5–6: Cannes Day 5: Drive to Cannes. Explore We are going to Cannes. Cannes is a nice place. We will spend the day walking around the Croisette. The Croisette is very pretty. We will look at all the stores and enjoy the views of the Mediterranean. We will walk up to Notre-Dame d’Espérance. We want to see the sunset from there. After that we will have dinner in Le Suquet. Le Suquet is the part of Cannes and it is very charming. If we are there when the lavender is in bloom we might go to the Valensole Plateau and the Verdon Gorge. Day 6: Beach Day in Cannes Today is the day to relax. We will go to the beach in Cannes. The beach, in Cannes is very nice. We will just take it easy. Enjoy the day. Cannes is really well known for its sandy beaches. This makes it a great place to spend a day at a beach club. You can book a lounger on the Croisette go for a swim in the sea have lunch by the water and drink rosé under an umbrella. On your evening in Cannes you should have dinner again in Le Suquet. Day 7: Nice. You will drive to Nice on a road that runs along the coast. On the way you will pass by Antibes and Cagnes-sur-Mer. When you get to Nice you will drop off your car at the airport. Then you can walk around the city. See what it is, like. Walk the Promenade des Anglais, browse the Cours Saleya Market, try socca, and climb Castle Hill for panoramic views. End your trip with a final stroll along the beach before dinner.
